The new 5 and 6 kVA UPSes offer Information Technology IT , data center and facility managers an easy to use power protection solution that safeguards systems against damage and costly power disturbances and outages. The also provides a high-level of operability with hot-swappable battery and control modules that allow users to quickly remove and replace power components without powering down the UPS or interrupting power to the connected equipment. As one of the most feature-rich UPSs in its class, the also provides: A wide input voltage window that eliminates the need to depend on batteries to correct power fluctuations. Extended battery runtime options to power essential systems for more than an hour during an outage. Four convenient output receptacles and rear panel communication options for remote connectivity options.

The UPS provides deployment versatility with a two-in-one form factor. When used as a rack UPS, the occupies only 3U of rack space. Matching 3U extended battery modules provide additional battery runtime while the energy-efficient design of the UPS reduces energy consumption.
Under normal power conditions, the can operate in high-efficiency mode at up to 97 percent efficiency thus decreasing utility and cooling bills. In double conversion mode, the UPS operates at up to 91 percent efficiency. With a wide range of acceptable input voltages, this UPS does not depend on batteries to smooth out power fluctuations. Batteries are conserved for those times when utility power is highly unstable or completely out. The features hot-swappable components and an automatic internal bypass.
Users can even remove and replace the battery and power modules without powering down the UPS or interrupting power to loads. Up to four external battery modules EBMs can be added to deliver more than an hour of extended runtime at full load— or hours under lighter loads. Each EBM occupies only 3U of rack space. With load segments users can also remotely re-boot locked up network equipment. During a power outage, you could shut down power to less essential loads to extend battery backup time for more critical devices.
The UPS offers deployment versatility through rack and tower installation options with rail kits and pedestals provided.
